One of the biggest Hollywood actresses, Audrey Hepburn once said, “I heard a definition once: Happiness is health and a short memory! I wish I'd invented it, because it is very true.” Happiness is related to health. The more you remain happy and out of depression, the healthier you will become.
Depression, in plain words is a phase of low mood and repugnance to any kind of happenings or activities. This is commonly referred as a type of psychological disorder showing depressed mood or a major depressive or mood complaint that can happen due to some sudden and big change in the actions and happenings in one’s life and can take better of anyone in this world.
Depression is a disease and is found in many people of all ages across the world. It is a serious illness and can reach immense heights in one’s life. People under depression are clueless of what is going on and can get indulged in antisocial and unlawful activities very easily.
Audrey Hepburn is remembered as one of the most successful actresses from the west and there are no records of her which tells that she was suffering from depression after she had become an actress.
However, in her youth, Audrey Hepburn was reported to be suffering from depression. During the Second World War, the Hitler’s Nazi army took over the city of Arnhem in Holland. Coincidentally, Hepburn was on a vacation with her mother in the same city and she saw the brutal act of the Nazis from a very close range. That incident left her in depression and she spent life in depression for a long period.
If someone like Audrey Hepburn can get into a depression, then anyone else with a higher risk of getting exposed to such mind boggling incidents or group of events can also fall prey to depression.
This is why it is important to stay happy. Getting into depression and that depressive mood can only stop someone from leading a good life. Being happy is very important to lead a healthy, wealthy and stress free life. Take care of yourself and beware of depression.

I think the first step is to become aware that you have a problem, address the issue, then actively work on slowly increasing your level of happiness by engaging in healthy and happy activities one step at a time.
It doesn't happen overnight, but it will happen.
