Radiation in Japan a possible health hazard
March 30th 2011 07:56
The recent tsunami in Japan brought about natural plunder in to the tech-city of Tokyo and other adjacent places along with the fear of health hazard through radioactive radiations getting into the atmosphere of the earth.
The tsunami and the quake saw thousands of dead and homeless in the country and the Japanese are still trying to come out of the shock that moved the entire nation and the globe, for that matter.
Tsunami in Japan did not only bring death and dearth to the people of Japan, but it also brought a cloud of doubt over the radioactive radiations which can trigger enormous health hazard.
The radioactive reactors installed in Fukushima Nuclear Plant, Japan were feared to have exploded into the atmosphere following the tsunami and the earthquake. These are the biggest radioactive reactors situated anywhere in the earth.
The quake hit Fukushima and the nuclear plant and there were blasts reported in those plants. Radiation into the atmosphere would mean either instant or slow death. If the blasts in the nuclear plant spreads radiation into the air, the people of Japan as well as the residents of the adjoin countries will also get affected, depending on the nature and amount of radiation.
Radiation that filled the skies of Japan when the atom bomb blasted in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki has their affect still after half a century of the blast, in newborns in these cities. Children in these cities and adjacent parts of Japan are seen to take birth with physical and mental abnormalities even today.
Although there are news of blasts on the reactors, but the scientists from around the world have mentioned that there are not much of radiations that have oozed into the atmosphere. Hence, we are still safe.
May God bless the people of Japan and bring back happiness and prosperity in their lives. I am sure they will overcome these adversities and stand up in their original style and stature.
